Delta Change symbol

Type :delta_change: · Math

What ∆ is for

Change in a quantity: ∆t is elapsed time, ∆x a difference in position. This is the increment sign, which is its own character rather than the Greek capital delta, and the two are constantly swapped.

How to type ∆

The shortcuts below are the built-in routes. With Emoji Anywhere installed you can skip all of them and type :delta_change: in any text field instead, which is the same on every platform.

macOS

Option + J

Windows

No Alt code. In Word, type 2206 then press Alt + X. Elsewhere use the emoji panel with Win + Period, or Character Map.
